Week #10

With just three weeks to go in the regular season, only the CRMO have clinched a division title. This means the final two division weeks will crucial to many teams as they try and secure a spot in the playoffs. This week saw the Lemurs take the high scoring honors as they cracked the century mark. Not a bad week for team surprisingly already eliminated from the playoffs! The Kingpins had the bad luck of scoring the 2nd most in the league this week, but unfortunately playing the Lemurs, so strangely the 2nd high netted them a loss. The CRMO rounded out the top 3 as they scored 77 to clinch the D Division title.

Here is a look at the week 10 action:

Vikings 58    Chieftains 75
Alford's Vikings get a win and stay within striking distance in the C Division. Tomlinson had a week like he was expected to have every week, scoring 28 to lead the team. Not much else in the way of support for the Vikings, but Tomlinson nearly won the game himself. Harry's Chieftains get 10 from Tampa Bay Def, and that was it. Ricky Williams yet again disappoints, surely making Harry question his first pick as he watches 8 other RB's in the league outscore him so far this year.

Razor Clams 62    Connection 11
Ron's Clams get back in the W column as they easily turn back the lifeless Connection. RB's Taylor and Davis each scored enough to beat the entire Connection team. For the Connection... let's just say Scott/Chris have officially started scouting baseball players.

Club CC 74    Dynamite 53
Troy/Trent get the win as their Club CC gets several big days. Green scored 27 and Tennessee Def had 24 as the Club CC continue to lead the C Division. Larry's Dynamite had a solid day from Manning (what's new?) and continued fine play from Smith, but that was it for anyone reaching double digits. The loss drops the Dynamite to 5-5 and 16 team points, meaning they will need a few wins to grab a playoff spot.

Bullets 67    Double Stuffed 38
Bill/John's Bullets take over the lead in the A Division after their win. Lots of solid players this week for the Bullets, lead by Boldin with 16 and the ever consistent McNair with 14. Fran/Billy just want this miserable season to end for their Double Stuffed, it just isn't much fun for them.

Lemurs 103    Kingpins 78
In the Prime Time Game of the Week, the two top scoring teams in the league this week slug it out and it was the Lemurs getting the nod. Ray/Jeff get a big day from Moe Williams with 28, followed up by Ward with 18 and a healthy return from Faulk with 17. An impressive week for the Lemurs, unfortunately the were also eliminated from the playoffs this week. Talk about bittersweet! Boyd Sr really has a tough week with the loss by his Kingpins. Playing any other of the 14 teams in the league would have netted them a win and pushed them ahead to the 2nd wildcard spot, but it was just a plan bad luck week for the team. Gardner was the leader this week for the team, catching and throwing a TD pass on the way to a 19 point week.

CRMO 77    Steamrollers 42
JR's team gets the win and clinches the D Division in the process. The CRMO got 24 from Holmes, who has really recovered nicely from that supposed hip injury on draft day. Pennington looks to be late season steal for the CRMO who should provide even more stability to this already talented team. Al/Boyd drop a game and fall to 3rd in the C Division. Their Steamrollers got a -2 from Bulger in his worst game of the year, complimented by 3 players with a 0. Time to regroup for the Steamrollers with 2 weeks of key division matchups looming ahead, starting with a key game against the Lunatics next week.

Death 69    Starfish 57
Jeff/Steve get back on the winning side as they turn back the Starfish. McNabb looks good again for the Death, along with solid games from Coles and Barber. The only negative is an injury to stud WR Harrison, something the Death can not afford to have linger. Brain's Starfish score above their average, but still fell a little short. Look no further than the blunder of having Dillon who was listed as out all week in the lineup, while his back up Rudi Johnson, who they have franchise rights to, absolutely went off. The even scarier part is Johnson is still not on the Starfish roster going into week 11!

Lunatics 76    Dragons 73
In the closest game of the week, Corey's Lunatics get the win and take over the B Division lead. The Moss combo netted 37 this week as those two just keep scoring TD's each and every week for the Lunatics. Steve/Marv get a big week from Culpepper, but a 0 from Seattle Def along with just 2 from WR's Toomer and Glen proved fatal in the game.
