Week #3
A pretty low scoring week as just two teams scored 70 or more. The Starfish take top honors this week with their 83 point effort thanks to big games from WR's Johnson and Wayne. The Death are the lone undefeated team while the Double Stuffed and Kingpins are still looking for win #1.
Here is a look at the week 3 action:
Chieftains 64
Double Stuffed 62
Harry gets the close win over Fran/Billy as
Ricky led the offense and the Tampa Bay Def was its usual self with 21. The
Stuffed remain winless but do get a top 8 finish, which is certainly not very
comforting. Moulds getting shut out was costly for the team.
Vikings 63
Connection 56
Alford finally gets a solid game from top
pick Tomlinson as his 17 leads the way for the Vikings. The Connection suffer
the loss as they were hurt by Henry being hurt and posting a -1 point game.
Dynamite 70
Razor Clams 36
Larry gets the win and 2nd place overall
finish as his team manhandles the Razor Clams. The Dynamite were led by a big 27
point game from Miami Def. The defending champs drop to 1-2 after a lackluster
performance. Hasselbeck looks strong fro the Clams again but McAllister was
disappointing with just 2 points.
Bullets 52
Club CC 44
Bill/John get the win and slide into the 8th
spot for the bonus win. The Bullets overcame a 0 from both MNF players to get
the win, with banged up McNair and Bruce leading the offense. Troy/Trent get a
down week from Burress with 3 and a goose egg from Keyshawn to hamper their
efforts.
Starfish 83
Lemurs 46
Brian takes the top spot this week thanks to
big games from his WR's Wayne with 25 and Johnson with 22. Lewis followed up his
record setting week with a solid 13. Ray/Jeff get the loss and lose Faulk along
the way for a few some time. The Lemurs can only hope Gordon steps in and plays
like Marshal use to.
Dragons 48
Steamrollers 33
A ho-hum win for Steve/Marv as their Dragons
win with 48 points. Culpepper was on his way to a big day before leaving with a
bad back, something they need to heal quickly. Owens and Toomer prove to be a
solid 1-2 punch at WR as they combined for 22. Al/Boyd get 0 points from their
starting RB's and a -1 from their Def. This was just to much to overcome even in
this low scoring game.
Death 51
Kingpins 33
The Snyder Boys get win #3 as sub QB Ramsey
leads the way with 13. The Death are still waiting for Harrison to step, and
then all will be well. Boyd SR suffers the loss and ties for low score of the
week. Gannon follows up last week's 0 point game with another 0, who would have
thunk it?
Lunatics 58
CRMO 51
Corey gets win #1 thanks to a big game from
KC Def with 20 and Alstott with 12. JR gets another big week from Holmes with
23, but a 0 from WR's Horn and Moss. Holmes continues to be the top dog in the
league and keep the CRMO competitive all year, just by himself.
