Week #1

The NFL season starts off with a bang, unless your the Connection of course. Week 1 saw the 1/2 high scores of the week facing off, and the Steamrollers got the better of the Connection. The top 8 cutoff was a respectable 58 points, and we had our first tie game of the year as the Death get an early break thanks to their 39-39 win over the Dynamite. Lineups were submitted on time while a few teams missed the scores deadline. make sure you get all required info to the Commish by the deadlines.

Here is a look at the week 1 action:

Lemurs 81    Chieftains 49
The Lemurs get off to a solid start with a win and a top 8 finish as they easily turn back the Chieftains. The Pittsburgh connection was clicking in week one as Maddox and Ward combined for 43 points. Harry's team got solid performances from top picks Williams and holt, but QB Brady struggled and 2nd team RB/WR both posted a zero.

Steamrollers 89    Connection 84
In the game of the week, Al/Boyd get the better of Scott/Chris as the two top scoring teams faced off. Portis led the 'Rollers with 23, while Chambers led the Connection with 26. The game was close but the deciding factor was the defenses, The 'Rollers got 19 from their Giants D while the Connection got just 4 from Green Bay.

Death 39    Dynamite 39
The Snyder boys get a early bit of good fortune as they get a win despite scoring just 39. The Death didn't have a single player in double digits, and were really held back by Jake the Dud with a sparkling -3 against the Bungles of all teams. Larry's Dynamite had their chance for the win as all they needed was a single point from Pinkston on Monday night, but Pinkston couldn't get manage a single point leaving the teams in a tie, and the Dynamite losing on home field advantage.

Bullets 66    Lunatics 43
Bill/John begin their trek back to respectability after a poor 2002 as their Bullets team get the win over Corey's Lunatics. Garner and McNair were the leaders for the bullets in the Sunday night game. Moss look like his primed for a big year as he led the Lunatics in week one with 19.

Vikings 82    Kingpins 58
Brian Alford takes over his own team this year and they give him a victory in week one over new owner Boyd Sr's Kingpins team. The Vikings were led by rookie Rogers 17 and Denver D with 20. The Kingpins got solid games from Gannon and Alexander, but a 0 from banged up Boston and a disappointing week from the TE-K-DEF combo were to much to overcome for Boyd Sr.

CRMO 69    Razor Clams 62
JR's team takes down the defending champ Clams in week one by a narrow 7 point margin. The CRMO were led by Holmes who topped all players week one with 27, and also got 17 from Garcia who answered questions about his health. Ron's team had a respectable week one as they look to defend their 2002 title, but they came up a little short. The Clams have a deep squad once again, and look to get back on track next week.

Club CC 50    Starfish 40
Troy/Trent get the win over Brian G's team thanks to big day from RB Green of GB. The Club struggled in other areas but had just enough to get by for the win. The Starfish got a zero from 3 key players in week one, and that was way to much to overcome. Dillon, Porter and Morgan all posted a goosegg in week one, and must step up in week two.

Dragons 47    Double Stuffed 30
Not exactly a shootout in this matchup, but the Dragons get the win over the Double Stuffed. Steve/Marv's team were led by Culpepper's 12 as they had just enough to beat the 'Stuffed who had no player score more than 5.
