Week #4
So far this year in all the football leagues I continue to hear (and say) "What if?". That has been the big question asked this year as teams struggle with injuries, big performances and disappointing starts to the season for top players. So this week in all the Commish's Corner reports we will be putting a "What if?" spin on all the action.
Here is a look at the week 4 action:
Dynamite 76
Chieftains 49
Larry gets the better of Harry as Manning
lights it up on Sunday night to the tune of 39 points. The Chieftains miss Ricky
at RB as they get just 2 from RB Anderson. The Dynamite are asking "What if
James was healthy or better yet not in the starting lineup?" The Chieftains are
asking "What if your two best players didn't have the same bye week?"
Bullets 62
Connection 48
Bill/John get the win thanks to solid RB
production and a nice 15 game from Kicker Kasay. The Bullets have been asking
"What if McNair, Taylor and Garner stay healthy all year?" Chris/Scott drop to
1-3 despite having the league high scoring average. That is a tough one to
swallow! Brooks with -4 at QB was a back breaker this week. The Connection are
asking "What if the best scoring average actually meant winning a few game?"
Death 78
Lemurs 56
The Snyder boys are the lone undefeated team
in the league after a big week from Harrison offsets 0 games from Ramsey and
Dunn. The Death are asking "What if we kept Plummer instead of Ramsey this
week?" Ray/Jeff get a decent game from Gordon filling in for Faulk, but not
enough against the solid week by the Death. The Lemurs are asking "What if
Marshal stayed healthy and actually was the feature of the offense?"
Lunatics 91
Steamrollers 68
Corey breaks out with the top score of the
week thanks to Moss and his 36 point game. The Lunatics are wondering "What if
The Randy factor was implemented every week?" Al/Boyd get a solid week from
Bulger but miss the injured Portis. The Steamrollers are asking "What if Portis
and Mason played up to par, or even played each week?"
Club CC 72
Vikings 61
Troy/Trent get the win thanks to a lineup
blunder by the Vikings. Club CC gets a big game from Green and combined with two
Vikings starters on bye weeks get the win. Alford's Vikings have a good week but
starting Shockey and Robinson on bye weeks was costly, to say the least. Club CC
is asking "What if our opponent does this every week?" Vikings are asking "What
if we sent in a lineup that gave us a fighting chance?" For the record Brian was
away in Vegas and spaced out the bye week for his two players.
Double Stuffed 63
Razor Clams 58
Fran/Billy get win #1 as they narrowly
defeat the Clams thanks to a big day from Jolley and Lelie. The Stuffed have
been asking "What if McNabb played like a top player?". Ron's team drops to 1-3
as they try and defend their title. George was MIA again with a 0 and Price
can't even crack the Clams lineup. The Clams are wondering "What if George and
Price actually scored each week?"
Kingpins 50
Starfish 47
Boyd Sr gets his first UAL win thanks to a
big game from Gannon. The Kingpins are asking "What if Boston wasn't such a
knucklehead?" Brian drops to 1-3 as his Starfish get a 0 game from banged up
Dillon leaving them a few points short. The Starfish are asking "What if Lewis
didn't have the monster week?"
CRMO 56
Dragons 23
JR gets the win rather easily despite
getting -5 from their QB/Def. The CRMO are asking "What if Garcia was healthy
and playing up to potential?" Steve/Marv drop their first game of the year, in
rather embarrassing fashion. The Dragons manage just 23 points this week, thanks
to taking the chance Culpepper would play and starting him. The Dragons are
asking "What if Owens would go back to the stud he is?"
