Week #12
One week left in the regular season, a many playoff spots and division titles still up for grab. Here is a breakdown of where each team stands going into week #13:
A Division
Razor Clams 23 Points Play Dynamite, clinched division title
Faukers 20 Points Plays Lunatics, with a win clinches a wildcard spot. A loss and a Dynamite win they are out.
Dynamite 18 Points Plays Razor Clams, needs a win and Faukers loss (both teams need to also either make top 8, or not make it, has to be the same), and they get wildcard spot. A Faukers win or a loss to the Clams, and they are out
Lunatics 17 Points Plays Faukers, loses out on division tiebreaker to Faukers in any scenario, so they are eliminated from the playoffs
B Division
Chieftains 22 Points
Plays CRMO, a win and they win the division. A loss, and they need the Faukers
to lose, or need Faukers to win a not get a top 8 finish and they get a wildcard
spot
CRMO 21 Points Plays Chieftains, need a win to win division. A loss, and they need Faukers to lose, or win and not get a top 8 finish to get a wildcard spot
Death 14 Points Plays Uhl's, eliminated from playoffs
Uhl's 11 Points Plays Death, eliminated from playoffs
C Division
Steamrollers 25 Points Plays Connection, clinched division title
Double Stuffed 21 Points Plays Bombers, clinched wildcard spot
Connection 20 Points Plays Steamrollers, clinched wildcard spot
Bombers 12 Points Plays Double Stuffed, eliminated from playoffs
D Division
Lemurs 16 Points Plays Maulers, needs a win and top 8 finish
to win division title (they have tiebreaker over Dragons on team wins). A win an
no top 8, and a Dragons win and a top 8, they are out
Maulers 16 Points Plays Lemurs, needs a win and top 8 finish to win division title (they have tiebreaker over Dragons on team wins). A win an no top 8, and a Dragons win and a top 8, they are out
Dragons 16 Points Plays Starfish, needs a win and top 8, and then needs the winner of Lemurs/Maulers game to not get a top 8 and they win division. Anything else, and they are out
Starfish 12 Points Plays Dragons, eliminated from playoffs
Now, lets take a look at the action from week #12:
Uhl's
76 Dynamite 52
Kevin's team finally shows signs of life,
unlike their owner who has gone MIA the last few weeks. The Uhl's had little to
play for, but put a damper on the Dynamite's playoff dreams. Portis and Rice
were the top guns for the Uhl's this week, with 18 & 17. Larry's team suffers a
loss when they needed a win to shore up their playoff chances. Now the Dynamite
will need a little help to get in. Not much on offense this week for the team,
as Moss again disappoints and Couch has an off week with just 2.
Lunatics 102 Death 47
Solid game for Corey as his team post the
2nd high in the league. Bad news for the Lunatics, as they were eliminated from
the wildcard race by the other game results. Big weeks from Davis and Owens, who
has a 10 point lead in the WR sidepot race. Even with a win, the Death would
still have been eliminated. Season over for Jeff & Steve.
Chieftains 72 Faukers 45
Harry's Chieftains take over the lead in the
B Division thanks to this win over the Faukers. Big week from Williams with 21
and Toomer with 17 as the Chieftains set up a huge game with CRMO in the final
week. Troy/Trent suffer another loss as their team is really struggling late in
the year. Marshall was a dnp again this week, and as he goes, so does the team
it seems. Gannon remains solid with 19, but a 0 from Conway added to the Faukers
misery. Now the Faukers face a must win game the final week.
Razor
Clams 82 CRMO 51
Ron gets a win as his Clams clinch the A
Division title. Big weeks from Alexander, Vick and Henry clear the way for the
Clams to be able to sit back next week and just hope the team stays healthy. JR
suffers a loss as his CRMO team slips down a notch in the B Division. Bad weeks
by his RB's and it was to much to overcome. JR faces a one game match against
the Chieftains for the B Division title. A loss, and they may even slip out of
the playoffs depending upon the other games.
Maulers 78 Steamrollers 77
In the game of the week, Brian's red hot
Maulers get the one point win over the league leading Steamrollers. A big week
from Dunn led the way for the Maulers, but they still face a major uphill battle
to get in the playoffs. Al/Boyd are just hoping to stay healthy, and got a
respectable week from their team, but lose by the single point. The Steamrollers
have clinched at least a tie for the league high team points sidepot, and can
clinch that with a win in week 13.
Double
Stuffed 68 Lemurs 51
Fran/Billy get back on the winning side as
their team turns back the Lemurs. Yet again Priest went off for 39 points this
week to lead the team. With the win, the team has clinched a wildcard spot. The
Lemurs had a golden opportunity to put themselves ahead in the D Division, but
with the loss are left fighting for their playoff lives. Harrison remains a stud
and Kordell chipped in 16, but this loss could be devastating if the don't win
next week.
Bombers 108 Dragons 74
What gives?????? Bill/John have struggled
all year in both leagues, and then BAM! They score 100+ in both leagues this
week! Oh yea, Atlanta Def was picked up in both leagues a few weeks back, and
boy did they go off this week. Atlanta put up a huge 40 points this week, giving
the Bombers the top score honors in the league this week. The Dragons had a top
8 score, but Steve/Marvin couldn't get the much needed win. With the loss, the
Dragons need a win and top 8 the last week, and a little help to make the post
season.
Connection 42 Starfish 23
Chris/Scott get a nice break this week, as
they posted the 2nd low score in the league, but still got the win over the
league low score of the Starfish. Ward remains solid with 19, but not much else
from the team this week. The Connection did clinch a wildcard spot with the win,
so Chris/Scott will make yet another post season appearance. Brian/Brian
have a disappointing week, to put an end to a disappointing season. The Starfish
are officially eliminated from the playoffs.
