Maze's Mumblings

We’ll I finished with a pretty decent score, 846, thought maybe enough for a top 3. As the scores rolled in I found out I was living in a dream world. This was by far the highest scoring week of the season (Baring the Triple Threat). 868 was the cut off this week. We saw the high player go down with the Chuckers Kobe have a remarkable 252 series. The big record fell this week; the Contributors get the distinguished honor of being the first team to break 1000, with a 1016. I want to remind everyone the trading deadline will soon be upon us, will anyone make a late season push to solidify their team remains to be seen

The Chuckers scored some decent points this week with an 814 only to see themselves get blown out by 198 pts. The Chuckers pts against is the 2nd worst in the league and for all practical purposes their season is done. Hey, at least Kobe’s 252 should hold up for a little return on your entrée. Jeff and Scott, you got to hang in there and play the spoiler the rest of the season. John already wants to take Karmazyn’s $20 as they have a standing bet for each league they play in. John has the games this week and $20 is as good as in the pocket. Will Johns 1016 stand the rest of the season? E all now have a goal to strive for for the remainder of the season.

Somebody cool off the Tre-Hawks, they have reeled off 3 in a row, and are back in the race. Walker finally showed up this week, getting a solid 219, and Marshall also had something to say with a 204. Marshall almost didn’t make the lineup this week, as there was a dispute on who to start. You chose right guys, relax. The Pippers did what they had to do, score big and get a top 6. What they didn’t have in mind was the loss and probably a trip to the couch for the post season.

The Victory had a quiet scoring week outside of Marion's 207, but he had enough consistency to outscore the Intercourts who find themselves slowly dropping in the rankings. If Woog and Boston had the chance to get a do over on that first pick of the draft, I think they might have chosen someone else. Duncan, Garnett, Webber, Dirk just to name a few.

Garnett remains Maze’s main man as his 236 can attest. If this guy has 4 games a 200 series is literally a lock. The 3-T had McGrady with only 2 games but it wouldn’t have mattered. The Myers team took the week off as the whole Div. lost and they didn’t give any ground. If you got to lose, that’s a good week to do it. Williams of Mem. came back to reality with a 74 and Griffin proved his great week last week was a fluke as he also got a 74.

The Calamity are off the schnide as they get a whopping 973 series. They will need every win as the  rest of the Div won as well. The Fury are one of the hard luck teams this year as no matter what they do it just doesn’t seem to be enough. John has a winnable game this week as he faces the Death . Anything less than a win will be unacceptable to John .

The Demons just toyed with the Death this week, as Jeff had to do stats all week knowing the outcome by Thursday. That has got to be frustrating doing the numbers just for confirmation purposes. What makes this even more painful was that the Demons beat the Death to the punch to get Williams of Tor. Since when did Jerome Williams become a fantasy stud? It looks like as long as Carter remains out, that pick should be a good one. Too bad one of the weaker teams didn’t get him, they could have used him. I guess that’s why the Demons are there season in and season out. They anticipate these things better than most teams.

                        Record last week  5-1

                        Season to date 32-10

Pippers are scoring now, they get the win over the Intercourts

T-# bounce back to take out the Chuckers

The game of the week pits the Demons and the Calamity. The demons lost knucklehead Wallace for 7 games, so give the Calamity the win.

The Tre-Hawks have won 3 in a row , but they play the Victory this week, streak over.

Dynasty can’t match the number of games with the Contributors this week, John wins easily.

The Death made a bunch of moves to retool his team but the results are the same. Give the Fury the win.
