Cossacks take care of business again

The Hummers coaches felt a little cocky at the basketball draft when their Qb K.C. went off for 17. They then in turn bet the Cossacks $ 20. Coach Karmazyn would like to know if you are paying in cash or check? The Phil combo of te/k/def got the Hummers a grand total of 6 pts and Tomlinson came back to earth with a 3. The Cossacks were fortunate to get the last top 8, for the 2nd week in a row. Coach Karmazyn would really like to know what the hell happened to WR Muhammad, he put up his 3rd 0 in a row.

The Hitmen take a commanding 4 pt. Lead in the A-div. with a win over the Bandits 76-57. Replacement RB Candidate doesn’t seem to be hurting this team one bit. He got a 16 this week to go with his 20+ last week. They also were quite surprised to see the Tampa def. on the waiver wire and plucked them up in a hurry as they contributed with a nice 13. The Bandits fall of the pace a bit with a loss. After Thursdays game, they already had 30 with Harrison and Ind. Kickers done, and felt in control. They also got a nice game from N.O. QB’s , but the rest of the team went into the tank. Next week is a crucial match up with the Manatees.

The Death had little trouble with the all but forgotten Demons 63-47. The Death , in an effort to keep pace with the Hitmen , pulled off a trade the other day. A desperate team will try desperate measures. The Demons continue to be hit by the injury bug. This week they even had a guy get hurt in pre-game warm-ups, now that is sad. Coach karmazyn is hoping that James’s injury is serious enough to keep him out of this week’s game. Coach karmazyn has absolutely no sympathy for this team and actually hopes a few more players go down, he’ll take the win anyway he can get it.

The Manatee show their potential again this week with a nice 85. Consistency is this teams main problem, we just can’t figure what team is going to show up from week to week. The Cows just can’t seem to find the right combination of players this year, maybe the trade they pulled off could shed some light on this team. When your off week pick is Pitt QB is your high scorer, you know your in trouble.

If there is one team that everyone doesn’t want to lose to, it has to be the Bombers. This is the team that comes to the draft completely unprepared , year after year. If you lose to this team, what does that say about all the preparation and countless hours or reading every web site you can find. The Destroyers were the Bombers latest victim and even was the high score of the week to boot! Coach Snyder still wants everyone who wants to rip him to know that he is still missing his first and second round picks. Do we feel sorry for coach Steve? No, I didn’t think so.

In the most hotly contested game of the week, the Wapati edged the Fish 73-71. This game came down to Monday night, with the Wapati needing 13 from Bettis and Dyson to win. Bettis came up huge, with 2 td’s and 15 pts. The Fish were left mumbling something about, how can we lose when we have a RB go off for 33? The answer is the Def. going –1, that will kill you every time.

The Maulers drop another one, 53-84. This team must stir up the best in most teams, as everyone seems to go nuts against them. Having your first two picks in the draft put up zeros doesn’t help matters much. Not to mention the 27 Alstott had on your bench. The Contributors slow start has enabled them to put together a very strong team. This team looks great on paper, and hopes it is not too late to make a run.

The Machine continues to click on all cylinders and easily put away the Luck 72-45. Martin continues to be a model of consistency and a nice 18-point effort from N.O. kickers enabled them to increase their lead in the hotly contested C-div. Another loss by the Luck and any hopes of catching the Wapati will be just a pipe dream.
