Dynasty Report  Week 8

There definitely seem to be some separation in the league this year. There are 7 teams vying for 6 playoffs spots, the rest have some work ahead of them to get back in the race. It’s pretty unusual to have that separation so early in the season. As my E-Mail stated earlier, the trade deadline just passed. I’m not sure how I let that slip by without doing anything. I had some good offers to give out there with 2 of my studs coming or soon to be coming off the DL. Oh well, I screwed up, at least you guys can’t say I screwed anybody this year like you usually do. We had a very strange anomaly happen this week in the top 6 bottom 6. For the second week in a row, all the top 6 teams won and the bottom 6 lost. That hardly ever happens, let alone 2 weeks in a row.

The Dynasty continue to win without their 2nd and 3rd round draft picks in the lineup. Mashburn comes back this week and Arenas should not be far behind. This team will be someone’s nightmare come playoff time. The Shaqless Death just didn’t have the horses to keep up with coach Karmazyn’s squad this week.

Some get some ice and cool off the Chuckers, they are smoking. 950!!!!!!high in the league this week, and that came with a 62 series from Radmonovic . Cassell 221 and Boozer 222, that’s sick. The Tre-hawks just shrugged this one off and said so what else is new. Andre Millers 195 series was great, and Wallace’s was great as well, but they just didn’t have enough help to even make it close.

The Intercourts went from the Penthouse last week to the outhouse this week as the had the low score of the week. This team needs a miracle to get back into it. The Pippers just keep churning out wins as their 7-1 record can attest. Larry and Harry will have to have their A-Game this week as the always-tough Dynasty are on the horizon.

For some unknown reason the Calamity haven’t addressed their weak bench all year. There have been plenty of quality free-agents hit the waiver wire this year, but they haven’t bid on any of them. They may be just cocky and think all they need is 6 quality players to win this league. I think most experienced owners know it takes a bench to win this thing. Time will tell if there coaching style will hurt this team. It didn’t help this week, that’s for sure as they fell to the Fury. The Fury are for real, especially after their recent acquisition of Stoyo. They are now only 2 pts behind the Calamity in the B-Div.

The Demons are doing their best to stay in playoff contention. The beat the Contributors rather easily by a score of 835 – 716, and got the all-important 6th spot in the top 6. Erdman has reportedly hired a witch doctor to to speed up Webber’s recovery process. If he doesn’t come back soon it could be too late. John saw Houston’s 63 series this week and promptly gave him his walking papers.

The 3-T just keep chuggin along, easily dispatching the Victory to another loss. Alford’s team had 3 sub 100 players and wins sure are hard to come by that way. The Myers boys are happy with their teams performance this year but injuries seem to be cropping up more and more. This teams is going held together with gauze right now and can only hope they stay wrapped up tight until the season is over.
