The Dynasty Report

It’s a new season of fantasy basketball and some things never change, the Dynasty have a mash unit. Starting off the season with three starters on the DL was not what coach Karmazyn had in mind. Even the Tre-hawks picked up where they left off last year, by having the lowest scoring team in the league. Scott was heard to say, I’m sure glad the bottom three is $3-6-9 this year. The Pippers have vowed to redeem themselves this year in hoops. Last year was a disaster and their vow is holding up so far. They had the highest score in the league this week, and they hope it is only one of many to come. It just might be, they have a lot of depth and should be able to out-game most teams week to week. From looking at the rosters I wouldn’t get to exited or depressed about week ones results. I have a feeling some teams might not be as good as they look and some might not be as bad. It should prove to be another exiting season and I hope everyone enjoys hoop fantasy as much as I do. Here’s a look at week ones matchups.

 -         Steve Franchise didn’t last long as a Tre-hawk this year, he has already been given his walking papers. He did get good value in the trade though as they got the rebounding machine Ben Wallace. Ben could not have helped this week though as they went against the 2nd high score of the week, the Death. Shaq looks to be back to his old high scoring ways, if he is the Death could be a tough match-up each week. Walker has been a huge surprise to date. Everyone thought his numbers would drop, after being shipped to Dallas.

 -         Coach Karmazyn was as surprised as anyone this week. Three starters short and still get the 3rd highest core of the week. When this team gets healthy they could make some noise. Any team with KG should be able to stay competitive. Unfortunately he only has two games this week. The Chuckers look solid as long as Cassell continues to play over his head.

 -         John and the Contributors are off to a good start and the Fury are left wondering how any team with Duncan can only score 749 pts. To add insult to injury , Stoudamire just went on the shelf for a month. Looks like John hasn’t been paying attention too much though as he ended up with McCasskill of Phil was his choice in the first weeks of transactions. It was his 3rd choice but McCasskill, who the hell is that.

 -         3-T came out of the blocks strong again, and did it with Brand still on the DL. Looks like they got the hang of this hoop stuff pretty quick and are out to show that last year was no fluke. The Intercourts struggled week one but from looking at their roster this year they are sure to surprise a lot of teams.

 -         The Pippers are loaded this year and plan on taking names. The two-time defending champion Victory were no match for the  Pippers this week. Alford must have taken them lightly as they didn’t even take the time to see how many games his players had. He started two guys with only two games. The Pippers are the wrong team to take lightly as the 935-721 score reflects.

 -         The Calamity get a win with Dirk having a dnp all week. Davis and Carter both put up 200 plus weeks to carry the load. If Carter can return to his form of old this team can also be scary. The Demons first two picks are on the DL so we’ll give the Demons a break. Knowing Eric , when its all said and done he’ll be in playoff contention as he always is.

 -         Record last week = 4-2

 -         Lets look at this weeks matchups, sometimes I’ll talk about the matchups and sometimes I’ll throw out a point spread, looks go point spread this week.
