Weeks 3 & 4

Sorry for the delay, I had relatives in all week and just didn’t get around to the Dynasty report. I will just give a quick review of week 3 and then move on to week 4’s report.

The Dynasty moved into first place in the A Div by scoring season high 990 pts, lead by KG’s season high 274. The Fury was last seen mumbling something about scoring 944 and still losing.

The Death new going into this week’s game against the Pippers would be futile with Shaq only having 2 games. Losing by 174 was a little more than they expected though.

The Chuckers thought for sure their first victory of the season was a lock since they faced the winless Victory. What they didn’t anticipate was Boozer stinking it up with an 85 and Ginobili a 65. The Victory finally gets into the win column, with a 733?

3-T don’t miss a beat with Iverson out injured as free agent pickup Leonard had a surprising155 filling in. The Contrib. had 2 players over 200 but had 2 under 100 to off set it, giving them their first loss.

The Calamity moves to 3-0 at the expense of the Intercourts. I’m sure Barry is bragging to anyone that will listen right now in Dulles. Looks like king James is starting to live up to the hype as he had back-to-back 73’s this week.

The Demons still can’t get on track, as they drop to 0-3. The Tre-Hawks get their first win but know they can’t play the Demons every week, so they will have to pick it up if they want another win.

Record last week , 4-2

Season to Date 12 – 6

-         Victory just don’t match up man for man well with the Death

-         No Iverson should be enough for a Dynasty win

-         Chuckers should drop to 0-4 against the Calamity

-         The Contributors surprise player of the year, Kiralenko, should down the Intercourts

-         Tre-Hawks will bow to the Fury

-         Until the Demons get Allen and Webber back, they should remain winless. This time to the Pippers

Weeks 4’s matchups

What do the Chuckers have to do to get a win? They had the second highest score in the league and still have nothing to show for it other than a top 6. This game against the Calamity went to the wire with the Calamity remaining unbeaten by a score of 899 – 891. Kidd had 2 triple doubles this week and they also get Murphy back from in jury and he came back strong with a respectable 128 series. If the Ming Dynasty can even get close to last years numbers the Chuckers could have a win in their very near future.

The Dynasty are crying the blues again. They move into the highest scoring team in the league plateau and are 2-2. The highest points scored against average might have something to do with it. This week’s loss proved to be extremely frustrating. Not only did they lose 852 – 853 to the 3-T, but the 3-T’s 853 was the cut off for the top 6, ouch. Coach Karmazyn thought this win was in the bag as he only need 2 more points from Dunleavy in the late Monday game. The anxiety became too much to bare as Dunleavy sat on the bench for the last 11 minutes of the game leaving the Dynasty with a 1 pt loss.

The Death move into first place in the A-Div with a 100 win over the punch less Victory. Starting Rose with only 2 games didn’t help matters much. 3rd round pick, Walker continues to be the Death’s best player, as his 195 can attest.

The Intercourts are a puzzling bunch. When you look at their team on paper , they look pretty good. The scores just don’t seem to reflect that. The Contributors don’t have that problem, they score week in and week out, as they have 4 top 6’s to date. Rumor has it McSwain is going to get his hair cut like Kiralenko’s.

I hate to keep ripping on the Tre-Hawks week after week, wait, no I don’t its fun. 4 players with sub 100 performances is just plain sad. Duncan and surprise fantasy stud, Miller,B. led the way for the Fury as they jump back into the B-Div race with their 2nd win.

The Demons lose again, as predicted, but help is on the way. Ray Allen is back this week and should help, if Webber can get off his but soon, it might not be too late to make a run. The Pippers move to 4-0 and I’m sure he’ll be the first to tell you if you see him. Marbury finally showed why he was a high pick as he scored a 197 series and McGardy had a 158 in only 2 games as he played only a few minutes in the 3rd game. Luckily that missed 3rd game wasn’t needed as the Demons rarely break the 700 barrier.
