THE
COLLEGE COMPETITOR
Edition 6.2
POTTS
SLINGS SEVEN!
It’s official, the Texas Tech QB
is a fantasy wrecking ball and it does not matter who is under center. Potts
lead the Shamrox to victory with a league high 40 points. The Rox defeated the
Venom 125-117 in a rematch of the last two fantasy championship games. They
improve to 2-0 on the young season, and are still wondering how Potts fell to
him at #7 in the draft. Despite scoring well over 100 for the second straight
week, the Venom find themselves at 1-1.
The Stallions reeled off 114pts
to also bring themselves to 1-1. The Browns are the only other team with a
perfect record, while the majority sit even with one win and one loss. Two
teams, The Elephants and Spartans are still looking for their first win.
Week two performances of note
are the Cossacks VT RB Williams with a huge day scoring 34, Contributor Neb QB
Lee’s 27, Rox RB Sharp’s 27, QB McCoy of the Venom scoring 31, and the
Stallions TT WR Leong catching a strong 30. The Lumberjacks bounced back in
week two with great performances by WV QB Brown (31) and OKL WR Broyles (34).
Each team looks to continue the momentum into the next week.
Week three begins divisional
play, and it is critical to get a win as a loss can put a team at a distinct
disadvantage. Win and many teams can improve to 2-1 with a division win under
their belt. Even with a loss there is still time to turn the season around,
but the door is closing. After this week, the season will be 33% gone….
