Rule Vote 1
League Entry Fee/Player Side Pots
The college league entry fee has been $170 for almost 20 years. I am proposing to raise the entry fee to $200. With the additional league funds I would like to add Player Side Pots as we have in our other fantasy leagues. This was something the late John McSwain had proposed for college. I think it is a good idea. I would update the entire league prize fund based on the additional funds after creating player side pots.

RULE VOTE 1
A) Keep $170 entry fee and no player side pots
B) Increase entry fee to $200 and add player side pots

Rule Vote 2
QB Sub
In 2008 we changed the college QB rule to using a specific player, not just a team QB. Our current roster format is two QBs. Teams submit a lineup of their starting QB and sub QB. Teams can also name a third QB as a sub, a specific player from the same NCAA team as the starting QB. The main reason for this third QB was for when the second QB is on a bye week.

In the 15 years, the use of the third QB has only come into play a few times. Some teams name the third QB, some teams don't. I am proposing we eliminate the third QB, and adapt the same rule as the NFL leagues. The NFL rule is the team would get the QB who started the game for the same NCAA team as the starter if needed.

TO BE CLEAR...... A team would use the QB in order as follows:
1) Starting QB
2) Sub QB
3) QB who started for the same NCAA team as starting QB

RULE VOTE 2
A) Keep the third QB as an option
B) Eliminate the third QB and use the NFL rule if an additional QB sub is needed

Rule Vote 3
Roster Format
In 2021 we added an additional 13th roster spot, the sub position. This was due to the Covid pandemic and the likelihood of players missing games for Covid related reasons. With Covid pandemic mostly behind us, I am proposing we go back to the pre-Covid roster format and eliminate the 13th roster spotsub position. This would reduce rosters back to 12 spots.

The elimination of 10 roster spots makes more free agents available. Lack of free agents has always been a college concern, especially in weeks with lots of bye week teams. With us going back to using 45 college teams this seems appropriate. Yes, teams will have to manage their roster and ensure they don't have too many players with the same bye week. That is how it had always been in our league pre-Covid. Teams would knowingly go a player short if necessary, not uncommon.

Bottom line, we have done all we can since 2020 to protect teams from Covid issues. In my opinion, it is time to get back to owner's managing their team appropriately, not just having so many protections and options due to potential Covid issues.

RULE VOTE 3
A) Keep rosters at 13 players
B) Reduce rosters to 12 players, eliminate the sub position

Rule Vote 4
OT Scoring Adjustment
In 2013 we changed the scoring system to our current rule of adjusting scoring that occurs in OT. We made that change because games were going multiple OT's (4, 5 or 6 some times!) and players were accumulating significant extra stats.

The NCAA has changed the OT rule multiple times since 2018 in an effort to reduce additional OT play for safety reasons. Currently, a game can only go 2 OT periods before it goes to 2pt conversions. The 2pt conv in the 3rd+ OT does not even count as an official stat for a player. Last year there were just 9 OT scoring adjustments all year, almost half were in the same OT game. No player scored more than one OT TD that had to be adjusted and there were several 1pt or 2pt adjustments for kickers.

I am proposing we eliminate the OT scoring adjustment. College fantasy is the only league in which we do not count OT stats. It just doesn't seem relevant any more in my opinion as the NCAA has greatly reduced (not eliminated) the potential for a player to get significant extra stats.

A game going to OT is usually exciting and part of the game as it is in all sports. Some feel that it is an unfair advantage for a team to get extra stats. Keeping the playing field the same for all teams is more desired.

RULE VOTE 4
A) Keep OT scoring adjustments
B) Eliminate OT scoring adjustments
