Week #12

The Pride continue their impressive run as they knock off the Stingrays and are the 2003 UAL College Football Champs! It was a convincing win for the Pride as they cap off a fine season. The Pride were the top scoring team this year, and #1 seed going into the playoffs. The playoffs were no different as the team kept putting up 100+ weeks. Congrats to Larry and Harry on a job well done!

Thanks to everyone for another fine season, and don't forget that all teams have a prepaid entry into the college postseason pool. More info will follow on that in the coming weeks.

Here is a look at the week 11 action:

Pride 115    Stingrays 67
It was the same old story for the Pride, as Larry/Harry get yet another big week from Fitzgerald with 29, only to be out done by late season pickup Jones with 30. The amazing season for the Pride is reflected in the week, as they score 115 despite getting a 0 from their defense. It was all about offense this year for the Pride, and the Championship game was simply a showcase for how potent their offense is. Fitzgerald was truly the leader for the team, as he just kept scoring this year. Here is the amazing numbers for Fitzgerald this season: 30-26-21-33-19-29-23-14-29. Add it up and it is 224 points in 9 games, nearly a 25 point game average. WOW, that was a GREAT pick by the Pride! Add to it solid years from Sproles, Michigan QB, Bell and Edwards and it was an offense that will be mentioned among the best ever in college fantasy. Not to be overlooked, Merv's Stingrays finish second after a solid season. The Stingrays got big days in the Championship Game from USC QB with 25, along with 16 from Hagan. The downfall for the Stingrays was its usually reliable 3-headed Williams monster. While these 3 were normally good for 10+ each, this week they combined for just 12. It was another solid season for Merv, he just ran up against a team that had way to much offense.

Scrub Bowl Winner    Contributors 86
John/Brett erase their $30 loss in weekly points with the Scrub Bowl win. A big day from WR Williams of USC gave the Contributors just enough for the win. As far as the Death go....... thank God it is over!

Scrub Bowl II Winner    Titans 134
Jeff's Titans put up a week like no other in recent memory (if not ever!) as they score 134 to win Scrub Bowl II. A monster day from WR Evans with 57 points lead the way. What is with WR's going for 50+ this year?????

Until next year, I am outta here......
