***** Please read these rules carefully before the draft so we can take any suggestions for a rule amendments before the draft.

Some players will qualify for more than one position. Forward / Center will be grouped as one, therefore determining position there is no longer necessary. What we will need to determine is what players qualify as Guard as well as Forward. Dotson and Karmazyn will put together a list that will be e-mailed to you before the draft. If you draft a player that qualifies at more than one position, you must determine at the draft where you want them. You can however change his position during the season if he qualifies.

You can use the chart I have in the draft packet to chart yours and your opponents stats. Our game uses only the top 3 scores for each player for the week. If they have four or five games, you still only use the top three. If they have only two, you get only two. It is very important to know how many games each of your players play each week.

If a player misses a game or two during the week, and doesn’t meet the 3 game limit you can use, you get to use your back-ups stats to reach the limit of three games. Ex: if a player is only scheduled for 3 games and misses game #2, you can use the subs game that night that was missed. If the sub did not play that night, you use the next available game. You may only go backwards if it means meeting the 3 game requirement. Meaning, if your player misses his 3rd and last game of the week and your sub is already done, you may go backwards to get that 3rd game. If a player is scheduled for 5 games, and plays only three, he still met the 3 game requirement, so no subs will be used. It has happened before where you might have two forwards miss games. You can only use the subs numbers once. There are times when these rules can be a little confusing, so check with the Commish to go over problems that may arise during the coarse of the year.

Line-ups are due on TUESDAYS no later than 5:00P.M. . If there is no line-up called in the previous weeks line-ups will be used. The week starts on Tuesday evening and will run through the games on Monday. Stats have to be called in by 5:00P.M. on Tuesday. It would probably be a good idea to do both at the same time. If no stats are are called in, you will get one mulligan. If it happens again, a $ 10 fine will be issued. If it comes to fines being issued, you will not get credit for team and player points. Wins and losses will not however be effected.

Both teams stats must be called in. If there is a discrepancy the commissioner will double check and make the correction. It is suggested but not required to check with your opponent and go over the stats between yourselves before calling them in. If you call in confirmed numbers, this greatly reduces the work on the Commish. Please do not call your opp. and say whatever you got is fine with me. Numbers are not checked this way, and could cost somebody a much needed win and points. I cannot express how important that the stats are done properly and called in.

Transactions can be made on a daily basis, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 10:00P.M. , except for TUESDAYS. Tuesdays transactions are due by 5:00 P.M. with stats and line-ups.

When the report comes out, any players that are released are considered to be on waivers. All waiver wire claims will be processed on Monday at 5:00 p.m. The lowest ranked team that has a bid on a player will be awarded that player. If you have a bid on more than one player, you will only be awarded both if no one else has a bid on that player. Once a player clears waivers, he is then a free-agent, and available on a daily basis.

Trading between teams will be allowed but on the honor system. If we feel that there is shady dealing going on, you will not be asked back the following year.

The trading deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday , going into week # 9.

We will declare one guard and one Big man as a franchise player. If that player gets hurt, you will have first rights to his replacement in that teams line-up. If you waive your rights to that player, anyone can pick him up. If you know a player is injured enough to be put on the injured list before the actual injured list comes out, you may do so. If he is not on the injured list, the transaction is void. There is no limit to the number of players allowed on the injured list. you can draft a player that is on the injured list, and replace him when the draft is over. You cannot however pick up a player that is on the injured list after the draft. You must first wait till he is activated before he is eligible for pick-up. It must be in print, whether it be the computer or paper, that he actually has been activated. A hear say move will not be allowed. This gives everyone the same opportunity on the player. A player may be listed as day –to-day for an extended period of time but never go on the actual injured list. If this persists for 2 weeks, you can place him on the injured list. If a player is scheduled to come off the injured list on Tuesday when line-ups are due, you may still start him. If he does not come off you will be stuck using your back-up, and have no player to back him up. So be sure he is coming off before you make that move.

Rosters are frozen for the play-offs unless you do not have a complete roster, regardless of the reason that is not complete.

You have one week to protest any numbers that are in the report. After that, they are engraved in stone and cannot be changed.

Mike Karmazyn , Al Dotson and Jeff Snyder will comprise the rules committee that will handle any possible disputes that may arise. It is impossible to think of everything that can arise during the season. Any decisions that are made by the committee will have to be unanimous before they are instituted. If the committee cannot come to a unanimous decision, a league vote will take place.
