COMMISH'S CORNER

PRIDE WIN!!!!!!!    PRIDE WIN!!!!!!!

The 2000 College Football comes to close with the Pride walking away with the league championship. Here is how it unfolded.......

Pride 112    Q-Dogs 91
Coachs Rose and Brown go out with a bang and guide their talent laden Pride Squad to the 2000 League Championship, with an impressive 112 point performance. Larry and Harry (weren't those two of the original 3 Stooges???) put all their computer difficulties behind them and were able to fill the Pride roster with talented players that performed week in and week out. The Pride were by Lee Suggs and his brilliant 38 performance and had 5 players score at least 12 points. The Pride proved that their late season rally to take the top seed was no fluke, and the put up 201 points in two weeks of playoff action. The Pride are deserving champs and here's hoping that Larry and Harry really never get this whole internet thing figured out, or the may run off a few more championships before they are done. The Q-Dogs put up a solid effort in the title game, but came up just a little short. Coach's Russ and Al have provided much entertainment this year, on and off the field, but the Dogs just didn't have enough left in the tank to get one more win. The Q-Dogs did an awful lot of barking leading up to the game, but can walk away knowing they left nothing on the locker room. Maybe now the Commish will be able to sleep as the Who let the Puppies out song is hopefully a distant memory now. As the Q-Dogs look to next year, they have two solid coaches that put their internal differences aside and almost walked away with the title, and will settle for nothing less than returning to the Championship Game again. The Championship Game was an exciting contest and both teams should be congratulated on their outstanding effort and great seasons by both teams.

SCRUB BOWL
Coach Driver's Cows finally respond after a frustrating year and put up 77 points to win the 3rd week of the scrub bowl. Tom has been wandering country side in Europe and let the team coach itself the last few weeks........hmmmm, maybe it wasn't the Cow players that were lacking this year! :>) P.S. Georgia Southern is still not an eligible team at this time, that hasn't changed while you were gone.

Special Weekly Awards:

Coaching Blunder of the Week: The Q-Dogs' bench players still would not have been enough to get the win, so no award the final week.

MVP of the Week:    Lee Suggs RB, Pride
Suggs goes off for a monster 38 point effort in the Championship Game to lead the Pride to the promise land and the 2000 Championship.

Boxscore Blunder of the Week:     No blunders this week, nice job!

Quote of the Week:    Surprisingly not a whole lot of post game chatter this week. Larry called in the scores and that was it. The Pride must of been to hung over after a weekend of celebrating.

COMMISH'S LOCK OF THE WEEK:
TAKE THE OVER...............

Thanks to all teams for a great season. It has been fun in a weird sort of demented way for me, I look forward to next year and trying to improve upon my first college football season, which shouldn't be real hard to do! Thanks again!
